Conversation before examination. Your dentist sits down with you first — your history, what you want, anything you are anxious about.
60 minutes. Examination, intraoral photographs and a 3D digital scan — no impression putty.
You see the screen. Findings explained image by image, with the options and their costs written down.
You decide when. Nothing is started on the day unless you ask for it. You leave with a written Dental Wellness Roadmap — what needs doing now, what can wait, and what each part costs.
Common questions
Can an onlay or crown really be done in one visit?
Yes, in most cases. The tooth is scanned, the ceramic is milled on site, and the onlay or crown is bonded in the same appointment — about two hours, with nothing temporary to wear home. Some teeth need a separate visit first; we tell you before we start.
What is the difference between an onlay and a crown?
A crown covers the whole tooth; an onlay replaces only the damaged part and keeps the rest of the natural tooth. Where enough sound tooth remains, an onlay removes less structure.
Can I use Medisave or CHAS at Calm Dental?
Medisave applies to surgical procedures such as wisdom-tooth surgery and implants, subject to Ministry of Health limits. CHAS, Pioneer and Merdeka Generation subsidies apply to selected treatments. Tell us at booking and we will confirm what applies.
Do you see patients who are afraid of the dentist?
Yes. Appointments are booked in longer slots, topical anaesthetic is used before injections, and video glasses and noise-cancelling headphones are available. You can also book a talk-only visit with no treatment.
