Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear removable aligners, changed every one to two weeks. Treatment at our Millenia Walk clinic starts with a 3D scan and a staged plan you see before you commit, and typically runs six to eighteen months depending on how far the teeth have to move.

What happens
A digital scan with the Lumina scanner, plus photographs and records. No impression putty.
A staged treatment plan is prepared and shown to you on screen — you see the projected finish before starting.
Aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours a day and changed on schedule. Attachments may be bonded to some teeth to help specific movements.
Progress is reviewed in clinic every six to ten weeks, and remotely in between.
Retainers at the end. Teeth move back without them, so this part is not optional.
Aligners are removable, which is their advantage and their difficulty: nothing is stuck to your teeth, but the result depends almost entirely on how many hours a day they are actually worn. Twenty hours works. Fourteen does not, and adds months.
Straighter teeth are also easier to clean. Crowded and overlapping teeth trap plaque in places floss does not reach, which is why we assess gum health before starting and again during treatment.

How much does Invisalign cost in Singapore?
At Calm Dental, full treatment starts at S$5,995 including GST, covering scans, aligners, refinements and the first set of retainers. Limited treatment for front teeth only is less, where it is clinically suitable. See our fees page.
Does Invisalign hurt?
The first two or three days in each new aligner feel tight, and teeth can be tender to bite on. It settles. Most people find it more comfortable than fixed braces.
Can I use Medisave for Invisalign?
No. Medisave does not cover orthodontic treatment. It can be used for surgical procedures such as wisdom-tooth removal and implants.
Will I need retainers forever?
You will need them indefinitely, at reducing frequency — usually nightly at first, then a few nights a week. Teeth drift throughout life, with or without treatment.
