Our Philosophy
Oral health, through technology, is the gateway to total well-being. We do not only treat teeth. We plan long-term health around them — using digital diagnostics to find problems while they are still small, and conservative techniques that keep as much of your own tooth as possible.
Visiting the dentist should not raise your heart rate. Calm Dental was set up at Millenia Walk to be a quiet place to have dentistry done: dark woods, low noise, and appointments long enough that nothing has to be hurried.
What that changes in practice
- A no-rush consultation policy. Appointments are booked in longer slots. A first visit can be a conversation and an examination with no treatment at all — see your first visit.
- Findings shown, not described. Scans and photographs go on the screen in front of you, so you are deciding from the same picture we are.
- Conservative before comprehensive. An onlay instead of a crown where enough sound tooth remains, because a tooth that keeps its structure has more left if it ever needs treating again.
- Technology used to be gentler, not busier. 3D scanning instead of impression putty; a crown milled and fitted in one visit instead of three appointments and a temporary.
- The whole medical history matters. Medications, reflux, sleep, grinding and diet all show up in the mouth, and all change what treatment is appropriate. This is the holistic side of the practice.
- For nervous patients. Video glasses, noise-cancelling headphones, topical numbing before any injection. More on what we do if you are afraid of the dentist.
The ginkgo leaf
Ginkgo Leaf Triptych, by local artist Tan LS — hanging in the clinic.
Our logo is a ginkgo leaf: a symbol of resilience, longevity and balance. The ginkgo is among the most enduring trees on earth, and a smile is meant to last a lifetime too. The leaf’s two lobes stand for the balance we work to — the precision of modern technology on one side, a gentle and natural approach on the other.
He calms the storm, so that its waves are still.

The people who do it
Five Singapore-registered dentists and four support staff. Each dentist’s page lists exactly which treatments they provide and which they refer to a colleague.
Questions
